Wakfu is a colorful, anime inspired MMORPG game developed and published by Ankama. The first thing you'll notice playing Wakfu is the unique appearance and character models, although quite detailed, they're very cartoon like and even add a certain amount of comical value with the characters facial expressions and animations.

The game play itself is quite unique among other MMORPG games, it's not a simple point and click, however it doesn't offer the full freedom of typical W,A,S,D type games. The square based grid movement system and turn based attack mechanics create a strategic element usually only found in MMORTS titles. This unique blend of tactics and strategy create an experience unlike any other.

Wakfu offers a total of 14 playable classes to choose from, all totally unique and have their own special abilities, perks and appearance. Other MMO titles that offer a large selection of classes usually struggle making them unique but Wakfu does this brilliantly with each and every class feeling like no other. There's something for everyone with DPS classes, crowd control abilities, pet classes and even assassin/thief style classes. This interesting mix makes it very unlikely that you'll come across similar built characters adding a unique, immersive experience.

The game also includes a unique crafting system using Professions. There are 16 different professions to choose from, all split among 2 main categories of crafting and harvesting. Wakfu does not restrict players, you can choose to practice every single craft and harvesting Profession or you can just focus on one, there's no limits. Allowing players to utilize so many different Professions creates for a very fluid player ran economy system with a heavy focus on supply and demand. A player can become totally self sufficient being able to grow their own food and create their own weapons, or they can choose to play the market and try to sell items that are high in demand.
