Repulse is the latest MMORPG from popular publishers, Aeria Games. Unlike other Aeria Games titles, Repulse is a FPS science-fiction mmo that offers intense multiplayer action in a futuristic setting.

Players can choose from 3 unique classes, all with access to their own items, gear and abilities. One of the more exciting aspects of Repulse is the ability to perform acrobatic actions such as wall jumping and climbing, as well as more passive actions such as long distance jumping and cloaking.

Repulse will include 13 maps for players to battle on, maps are mode specific so certain maps are restricted to just Deathmatch where other maps are open to more than one mode. The design of each map varies greatly from city streets to alien landscapes.

The game will include over 30 weapons at launch, all separated into 4 categories. Melee players get to use grenades and a cool Matter Divider, which can be compared to the chain saw gun in Gears of War. The other categories include Assault, Sniper and Engineer, all including the weapons, gadgets and guns that you would associated with these typical FPS archetypes.

Repulse offers 9 unique game modes including more traditional FPS game modes such as Deathmatch and Capture The Flag but it also includes other game modes that aren't so common. Most notably, Infection, this game mode can be seen in titles like Alien VS Predator. One player starts as an alien, in order to win the game they must infect the rest of the players (humans) and turn them into aliens, increasing the size of the alien team as well as their chances of winning.

The game is currently accepting sign ups for the closed beta period that is expected to start Q1 2012.
