Command And Conquer Tiberium Alliances is the lastest game out of EA's Phenomic studio, the game is based on the famous Command & Conquer IP, and is the first in the series to be a free to play browser MMORTS game. The game includes many of the typical MMORTS features from today's games but combines them with historic Command and Conquer units, visuals and sound effects.

As is traditional with MMORTS games, Command And Conquer Tiberium Alliances has a heavy focus on gathering and using resources. Players can build the familiar harvester and other buildings to gather their resources, these are collected over time whether the player is online or not. The unique aspect to this is the bonus feature. Certain buildings, when placed near resource nodes, have an effect that boosts the outcome of that particular resource but only in small quantities. This means players that are online regularly are able to collect these bonus resources before they disappear, giving a big advantage over those that only log in for a few minutes.

One of the more defining aspects of Command And Conquer Tiberium Alliances is the Alliance system. Players can freely create or join an Alliance whenever they please, there's no cost to start one and no negative factors for leaving one. Once an Alliance is created they're given access to a customizable private forum in-game, in which events, announcements and other information can be posted. The ranks within the Alliance can also be customized, giving different ranks certain responsibilities and permissions. Alliances can ally with other groups, declare war against them as enemies or sign a non-aggression treaty. All of which is backed up by in-game mechanics and systems.

The combat system is very refreshing, allowing a players scouting ability and unit choice to determine the outcome of a battle, instead of just level. When attacking, a player gets to choose which units to launch on the offensive, but also gets to choose what order they attack in and what waves they appear in. This allows a skilled player to send in the heavy artillery at the right time, while holding back on airstrikes until the infantry are dead.
