One of the main attractions to Tamer Saga is the critically acclaimed pet system. All pets are split into one of four categories, Sprites, Beasts, Demons, Dragonkin and Humanoid. Similar to the mechanics used in the highly popular Pokemon titles, each pet type is potent against other types. For example, Sprites cause extra damage to Humanoid and Beast creatures, while Dragonkin is extra strong against Sprites and Demons. This traditional pet-type system offers players a high level of strategy involved in each fight. Paying close attention to the specific type of your enemy and the ability you're using to use your pet to maximum effect.

The pet system utilizes two other features to make it unique among other MMO games, the Album and Pet Sigils. Pet Sigils are items that can be equipped to your pet to increase their stats and the strength of their abilities. Sigils are earned by transferring unused pets into an item which grants the item the stats and strengths of that specific monster. Using Pet Sigils allows players to strengthen the weak aspects of their pet, or improve their best assets. The final aspect of the highly innovative pet system is the Album. Every monster that you encounter and defeat is added to your Album. Each monster within the Album can be challenged to a fight at any time, and if you're strong enough to defeat it again, you will be able to summon it as a pet whenever you please.
