Grand Chase is an action based, arcade style fighting MMO that includes unique character classes and abilities, up to 6 way intense PvP combat and an array of advanced features and in-depth mechanics. Grand Chase includes over 13 unique characters to choose from, all with their own personality and traits and by progression to certain levels, players can use the abilities from other characters on their character, creating a large amount of possible characters and play styles.

The game offers an advanced character progression system that shares the common features in other MMO titles but also expands allowing players even more choice over the appearance and development of their characters. Players can choose from hundreds of weapons, armor and accessory pieces, all of which have an effect on your characters stats, abilities and appearance. There is also the option of unlocking up to 4 extra jobs to compliment your main class, each of these jobs has access to different powers and abilities.

Grand Chase also includes a highly in-depth pet evolution system. Players can purchase or recruit pets to help them in battle, pets gain experience points the more they fight and increase in power over time. As pets get stronger they gain access to more abilities and can even evolve into a totally new type of pet. If you want your pet to evolve you must show it a lot of attention, allowing it to fight with you for long periods of time and also care for your pet, making sure it's well fed. If you neglect your pet and forget to feed it, it will eventually grow weak and even stop gaining experience points.

There are two modes available in Grand Chase, a 3v3 team based game mode and a free-for-all 6 man mode. Each mode attracts certain types of players and both modes require unique tactics and strategies to be successful. Players are not restricted and can play either mode whenever they wish.
