Dino Storm is a free to play, browser-based MMORPG title currently in a closed beta with full released expected within the next couple of months. The game is unique for many reasons, the most obvious, would be the setting itself. Dino Storm is set in an old western style world, with bar brawls, thieves and raids but there's also another aspect thrown in, Dinosaurs. The game tag line reads "A free to play MMO game with Dinosaurs...and Laser Guns"

Despite being a browser-based title, Dino Storm offers a large 3D world to explore, complete with a main town/quest hub, DinoVille. Players use DinoVille as their safe haven, storing goods and items, speaking to other players or arranging groups, and conversing with NPC's to gather quests and information.

Another nice feature is the Contested Buildings system. Scattered throughout the game world are resource gathering buildings such as Mines, Camps and Supply Outposts, each of these can be controlled by a player. The player that is in control of the contested building is rewarded with extra gold, ammunition and other materials harvested from the building. The rewards are great but other players will constantly attempt to take the building under their control, forcing Dino VS Dino standoffs. If you're struggling with defending your resources, you can form a Band with other players. These work in a similar way to typical Guilds in a MMORPG, players form up and work together for greater rewards.

Players that are able to control contested buildings for long periods of time may develop enough fame to run for Sheriff in DinoVille, taking this coveted title gives you access to rare dinosaurs and a number of powerful weapons. It's not easy though, other players will also be trying to become Sheriff so you have to keep on your toes.
