Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited or DDO is a MMORPG developed by Turbine released on February 28, 2006. The game attempts to recreate the D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) universe while following the D&D 3.5 Rule-set with certain twists naturally derived from adopting a real-time combat system (the tabletop D&D uses a turned-based combat system).
DDO is not using the full range of the D&D races and certain Eberron-specific classes are also unavailable. There is no race/class combination restriction and any of the following can be of the following can be used together:
Races: Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Halflings, Warforged, Drow, Half-Elf and Half-orc.
Classes: Barbarian, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Bard, Cleric, Favored Soul, Sorcerer, Wizard.
The D&D alignments are not entirely imported into Dungeons & Dragons Online as the evil alignment is not available for players. Alignments restrict some character/class combinations as well as usage of certain equipment.
Starting with June 9, 2009 Turbine announced that Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach, the original name of the game, switches from a subscription based business plan to a free-to-play one. The free-to-play approach makes almost all the game content available to everyone at no cost. However certain aspects remain locked and can be accessed by spending Turbine points. With the change of the business plan the game also received a new name and since 2009 it’s called Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited.

I have been one of the few people who decided to stay away from this game, but today I am guna download it and see it later. not sure why I am.
Me personaly i think like most mmo they are a bit greedy and from my experince up to lvl 4 you have to buy goblets with your own money in order to level further and each level from thin on costs you a coblet witch dose have a chance to drop in the game but the drop zone changes ever 1hr and it chance of droping is still…0.1%
the preview on this page does no justice to this game, it is free to play with purchaceable content. i found this mmo to have a great playstyle(not just hotbar clicking) and a deep character build system. free players are given 2 character spaces on each server, and a player can do a lot of grinding to aquire enough turbine points to unlock all packs over time. personally my favorite server is thelanis, but orien and aggonesen are good as well. all in all this is a beautiful game with new content being added all the time, with enough classes and races for a variety of build options for solo play and 6 man party and 12 man raids. fans of mmo’s as well as dungeons and dragons should consider playing this, its free, and action based combat that requires more than hotbar based gameplay. 4.5/5 stars easy
