Astro Empires is a browser Massively Multiplayer Online Real Time Strategy Game with a Sci-Fi thematic, published by Astro Empires. The game allows players to create their own space empires and build their economies while struggling and fighting for territories.
The early stages of the game are slow paced as the new player must manage the economy by building Metal Refineries, which increase the amount of credits your planet generates per hour, and Solar Plants. Upgrading the Metal Refineries will dramatically decrease the time needed to construct buildings or produce units. The table area shows over 20 buildings which can be upgraded up to 20 times, 10 defensive structures, 20 units and 15 technologies.
The universe of Astro Empires is massive, consisting of 38 galaxies, one galaxy having 100 squares, each square holding over 25 solar systems. Players can work together and join guilds in order to defend their planets. Finding a guild is a must if the player wants to continue playing in a relatively safe environment as one single planet can be extremely vulnerable against coordinated attacks.
In Astro Empires the difference between “Free Accounts” and “Premium Accounts” imbalance the game, giving the Premium player great advantages such as controlling a limitless number of planets, having more research queues, etc., all things which greatly help the player to improve their empire and accumulate military strength.
Although the account system can feel a little unfair for new players, Astro Empires has more than enough features to make up for it.
