The universe of Astro Empires is massive, consisting of 38 galaxies, one galaxy having 100 squares, each square holding over 25 solar systems. Players can work together and join guilds in order to defend their planets. Finding a guild is a must if the player wants to continue playing in a relatively safe environment as one single planet can be extremely vulnerable against coordinated attacks.

In Astro Empires the difference between “Free Accounts” and “Premium Accounts” imbalance the game, giving the Premium player great advantages such as controlling a limitless number of planets, having more research queues, etc., all things which greatly help the player to improve their empire and accumulate military strength.

Although the account system can feel a little unfair for new players, Astro Empires has more than enough features to make up for it.
