Western Publisher Confirmed For Black Desert Online
Last month the rumor mill was in full swing regarding potential publishers for the upcoming Western release of Black Desert Online, and today new official information has come to light, adding credit to the original rumors. Original information stated that a "familiar" publisher will be responsible for European and North American releases of Black Desert Online, and that seems true as Daum Communications have been confirmed as the Western publisher. Daum Communications is the same company behind the publishing of the Korean version but will remain the publish in Western markets due to "copyright issues".The Korea-based company, Daum, should not be new to people who have been keeping up with black desert news (since they have hosted two closed beta events of Black Desert Korea), but for those who don't know Daum is a web portal in South Korea, like Naver and Nate. Daum offers all sorts of services to its "netizens" (web users) like a popular free web-based e-mail, messaging service, forums, shopping and news. The official post also states that the Korean closed beta is expected to launch in August or September of this year, with the open beta expected 2-3 months after the third closed beta event.
