Perfect World Entertainment have just released a blog post including details on the upcoming First Contact event scheduled to start April 5th and run through until April 10th. The First Contact event is an iconic event in the Star Trek Online universe as it marks the beginning for the foundations of the federation.

Star Trek Online players will want to visit the Utopia Planitia that will be orbiting mars for the duration of the event. Players will be able to interact with some of the officers from the famous Enterprise-F and you will be able to get your own version of the Phoenix, the first ship created by humans that is capable of warp speed. Perfect World Entertainment purchased the publishing rights for Star Trek Online a short time ago, and have since turned it into a much more successful title using the same MMORPG Game formula that has made so many of their titles successful. Extra events and content are sure to please the constantly expanding player base.
