League Of Legends Streamer Held At Gunpoint
A Twitch.TV streamer got a little more than he bargained for after a stream resulted in him being on the wrong end of a police officers automatic rifle. James Varga, more commonly known as PhantomL0rd in the streaming community, was happily streaming away when a police SWAT team arrived at his house following a false report of a potential hostage situation at his residence.
The report came from the “hacking” group known as DERP, a collection of disgruntled gamers that use DDoS attacks to take down popular gaming websites and online services. The false report came after PhantomL0rd expressed his disapproval of the group after they attacked the League of Legends server.
