Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide takes place in and around the city of Ubersreik, a once proud and safe city that has been reduced to near rubble due to the invasion of the dreaded Skaven. Players will take on the role of one of 5 iconic heroes, each utilizing different skills and abilities in battle, fulfilling specific roles and complimenting their allies with their own unique mechanics. Working as a team players take on the role given by their character and attempt to survive a deadly invasion of rat-like enemies, known as the Skaven. Battles feature several different environments, ranging from the rooftops of towns to the distance reaches of the outer city rim.
