Another exciting RPG made possible by the crowd-source funding platform of Kickstarter. Bedlam is a uniquely exciting RPG game from Skyshine Games that blends an intriguing artistic style with innovative turn-based, strategy fueled mechanics using the engine from the incredibly popular Banner Saga Factions RPG. Players take on the role of a mechanic, the last known member of a once brilliant guild of daring inventors, expert travelers and constructors of the universally famous mobile fortresses, the Dozers.
As a Mechanic, players are in command of leading their crew into battle, managing and gathering unique resources, upgrading your Dozer and interacting with various characters while navigating through the post-apocalyptic world known as Bedlam.
Bedlam Features:
- Inspired by the iconic roguelike mechanics and features of yesteryear, Bedlam offers a fresh and enjoyable take on the turn-based battle system. Players explore randomly generated environments and encounters as they progress through the world of Bedlam. Meaningful permadeath mechanics promises to offer players a level of challenge almost unheard of in the genre as they compete to manage resources, base management and unit progression - all of which combine to offer incredible levels of replay value.
- Despite using turn-based combat mechanics, the developers have removed the more lackluster elements of turn-based combat in favor for the unique Blitz battle system. This exciting feature offers turn-based combat at great speeds, removing turn order and offering a variety of unique skills and abilities that can really mix things up.
- Progress through the game with your own fortress as you upgrades its weapon and armors to protect its crew and passengers throughout your journey in Bedlam.
- Four unique factions power the enemies that stand in your way. Marauders, Mutants, Cyborgs and the A.I. all present unique challenges with their own set of strengths and weaknesses that players must learn and overcome.
- An exciting Double-Down opportunity present in a New Game+ style mode that promises to offer endless hours of replayability.
