War Inc is a free to play session based first person shooter MMO game that features a large variety of weapons, several game modes and a large number of classes to use. The game uses a basic lobby system for players to find matches, simply join a game and once it's full, you're good to go.

The game includes 3 distinct game modes, all of which offer a variety of objective based options. There's the typical Deathmatch, team vs team action in which the team with the most kills at the end of the game are victorious. Then there's the Conquest game mode, this mode plays in a similar way to the Battlefield games. Each team has a certain number of tickets to start with, as they occupy more control points on the map, they take away more tickets per kill on enemy players. Sabotage, the final game mode, is an offensive vs defensive based mode. One team has the objective of planting a bomb, the other of defusing it, once a player dies they cannot respawn. This creates for a more tactical based match than the run and gun approach of the other game modes.

War Inc gives players access to over 50 unique weapons, spread over several categories. There are the typical assault style weapons in the form of medium to long-range automatic guns, up close and personal options such as the fast hitting SMG or the devastating shotgun. Players that like to take a more cautious approach can use other weapon types such as sniper rifles, grenades, claymores and a number of other explosive devices.

Players earn experience points for each game they participate in, these experience points increase your level which allows you to buy and equip a larger variety of items. Players can also invest experience points into various skill trees, each complimenting a certain style of play.
