Realms Online is a free to play MMORPG offering well balanced PvP combat as well as a deep, immersive PvE experience. Realms Online was originally restricted to certain countries but in a recent update, RO has gone international.

The game has a heavy focus on PvP content, featuring large scale raids on expansive maps and landscapes. Once you create your character, from one of the 9 customizable races, you're then given the option of choosing your Realm. Realms feature similarly to other MMO titles, each Realm is locked in combat with the other Realms trying to gain control of certain zones.

Realm VS Realm combat is the most attractive mechanic in Realms Online, you can battle for castles and keeps or steal rare artifacts from other Realms and add them to your own. The PvP has a heavy focus on large scale combat rather than skirmish groups and plays in a very similar way to the Lord of the Rings Online and Warhammer Online PvP scenarios.

The PvE part of the game offers the typical free to play MMORPG features, a good variety of monsters, a large number of quests and regular party/group activities and dungeons.

Each class offers 2 disciplines that allow you to choose a specific path for your character. You can choose between an offensive discipline or a defensive one, both offering unique abilities and play styles for your character.

Realms Online also offers a totally free Ventrilo server that allows you to communicate in real time, using a microphone, with hundreds of other players. This gives you a good opportunity to build a party, make plans for raids or just get involved with the community.
