Pirate Storm is a free to play, browser-based MMORPG set on the high seas published by the popular gaming portal, BigPoint. Players take on the role of a fearsome pirate in search of treasure in a fantastical 3D world with top-quality graphics and plenty of activities to keep you entertained.

The questing system in Pirate Storm is very streamlined and player-friendly, instead of spending ages exploring towns to find quests, players simply visit a tavern. When a player docks at a port, they can visit any of the buildings within that town with one simple click. Visiting the tavern will give players the opportunity of grabbing every quest available within that town, in a matter of seconds. Other activities inside docks also allows players to use things like the Auction House, where they can buy and sell items, ship parts and other interesting things. Players can also upgrade their ships in docks, improving sails and cannons, or increasing load weight allowing them to carry more loot and ammunition.

Enemies come in many shapes and forms, sometimes players will be ambushed by a fleet of rebel pirates, other times they may have to fight more fantasy based monsters. As you explore the world you'll find giant crabs, sea serpents and even whirlpools, all of which present a danger to your ship and crew. The combat is simple yet effective, with players having to choose between different ammunition types such as cannonball or harpoon.

PvP is a popular activity in Pirate Storm. Players are able to queue for 1v1 PvP matches anywhere in the game world, this allows people to use PvP alongside questing to increase experience gain and level at a quicker rate. There's also a number of PvP zones where players can attack other players at will, with no restrictions, and the victor sailing away with the loot and crew of their sunken opponent.
