Overkings is a free to play, side scrolling MMORPG that can be played directly in your browser. The game boasts an impressive selection of graphics and combat animations and has some of the sharpest graphics available for a browser MMO.

The game includes 8 unique classes, all with their own appearance, abilities, and progression path. The playable classes are as follows, Amazon, Guardian, Witch, Dryad, Assassin, Barbarian, Mage and Sorceress. Although each class sticks to a familiar MMORPG archetype, they're all capable of both offensive and defensive abilities. When you begin you'll have access to one ability, as you level up your character you gain access to more, unlike traditional MMO titles that let you customize your hot-bar and ability choice, Overkings uses a random deck system that automatically selects your usable abilities and skills. Although this does detract in certain areas, it does allow you to get lucky and have access to very strong abilities early on.

Exploration is done via the World Map, you'll gain access to the map once you've completed the first tutorial quest. Once on the World Map you can choose your next course of action, you can travel to nearby towns to sell your goods and pick up some quests, or you can travel through the wilderness discovering new enemies and lost treasures. The freedom offered in the exploration is one of the most defining features of Overkings.

A lot of quests become easier and more fun if you attempt them with a party. Overkings encourages party play by offering increased experience and gold rewards for completing group quests. Players can group together via advertising in the party channel and once grouped, they can go to any enemy wilderness and fight together with objectives being completed collectively.
