Last Dynasty is a free to play MMORPG originally released in China by Shanda under the title Storm Online. The game was released for the western and Russian audience by Mail.ru. The action in Dynasty Online takes place in Ancient China. Upon launch, players will have the opportunity of choosing between three gender locked classes which fall under the general archetypes of warrior, ranger and mage. Once that choice is made players can venture out into the world of Last Dynasty and tackle its many challenges.

The PVE aspects of the game follow the well known recipe of completing quests for rewards consisting of loot and experience points. While this might prove to be a sufficient source of fun for many, the game’s most interesting features are related to its hardcore, punishing PVP system. Depending on your actions and the success of your PVP battles, there is a chance to lose equipment items, quest items and/or special items upon death. So thread carefully if your idea of fun is picking on other players. However, with risks came rewards and so many will find this game feature quite entertaining.

Last Dynasty suffers from outdated graphics and is based on pretty old and heavily overused design ideas, but it does provide a challenging experience for those willing to look beyond that which meets the eye.
