DDTank is a 2D turn based MMO shooter developed by NGames. The game uses the same gameplay mechanics as Worms in which players must hit opponents across the map, but it has some RPG elements included. Players will need to keep an eye on different factors such as wind velocity, angle, elevation, and many others in order to land a successful hit.

The game allows players to customize their characters to some extent, buying clothes and accessories to make them look different from the rest. Also equipment can offer a small boost to some of the character’s attributes. However, players can permanently keep an avatar or a weapon only if they pay with real money. If a player chooses to pay with vouchers, which can be found in game, the longest period one can keep an item is one month.

The interface is nicely laid out allowing players to easily distinguish abilities and skills. Controlling the character and combat might take some time to master, but after the basics are learned the fun can begin. Players can enter room based matches in which they join a team and fight another one, the members of both teams being randomly chosen.

DDTank occupies the rare space of turn-based strategy games featuring unique character progression and unlocks. If you've ever played the popular games from Team 17, Worms, or Team Buddies, you'll feel right at home with the skill-based combat in DDTank. Forget your typical auto-locking, hot-key combat in your typical MMORPG and get introduced to a combat feature that relies completely on player skill and ability, over that of stats or automated systems. Every weapon and every shot within the game requires a certain amount of concentration and tactics as a variety of changes come into play in the environment.

An entirely skill-based combat system supported by an exciting selection of weaponry and huge amounts of character customization makes DDTank one of the more interesting MMO's available. DDTank, even though it has nothing to do with tanks, offers players a large variety of weapons and a great gaming experience.
