Clash of the Dragons is a free to play, browser-based MMORPG published and developed by 5th Planet Games. The game doesn't require any downloads to play and is compatible with the majority of internet browsers. Players get to create their character using a number of appearance options, as well as selecting their gender. There are 4 available classes to use Sentinel, Assassin, Druid, and Pyrelord. Although each class specializes in a certain field, players are still able to be adept at other areas, for example, a Pyrelord is still able to use melee attacks like an Assassin, but they won't be as effective as the Pyrelord's fire attacks.

The most defining feature that sets Clash of the Dragons apart from other MMORPG games, is the combat. Instead of the typical hot-key combat approach, the game uses a unique card battling system. Each time a player initiates combat with an enemy monster, both are given a starting deck consisting of a variety of cards. The aim of each battle is to reduce your opponents deck to 0, in effect, reducing their HP to 0 and winning the battle. There are 2 main attack cards, Weapons and Magic. Although each card works in a similar way, the damage that a particular card can causes varies based on your characters stats in that specific area, meaning a Druid will cause more damage with a magic attack then a weapon attack. There are a number of other card types available such as potions, that restore HP, talismans, that offer a bonus while they're in play, and NPC cards. The NPC cards are the most unique, allowing players to take a companion in to battle. These companions vary greatly and include everything from healers to nukers, these cards are what most players search for as they offer the largest improvements to your deck.

The game is available free to play but does feature an item-mall where players are able to buy equipment and other items to help them progress a little quicker.
