Alganon is a unique MMORPG title that offers players a multi-cultural background surrounded by thousands of years of history and background story. Alganon provides players with a unique MMORPG setting, an exciting mixture of regular MMORPG features and a large array of unique mechanics exclusive to Alganon. Players can choose to play as either Humans or Talrok, both of which have access to 4 typical MMORPG archetypes, Soldier, Magus, Healer and Ranger. Each class provides players with an exciting selection of skills and abilities, all of which can be improved as they progress through the game.

Alganon has a very unique take on the regular guild feature from other MMORPG games, using Families instead. Families are groups of like-minded gamers that come together with the hopes of achieving the same goal. Many guilds in other MMO games recruit certain types of players, hardcore, casual, achievers and so forth, but Alganon uses a more automated method. Every race has 4 different Families to choose from with each family catering to a certain type of gamer. Players choose which family they wish to join and can then pledge their allegiance, aiding their brothers and sisters in quests and increasing the reputation of their family through their actions.

Another unique feature in Alganon is the study system. Eve Online players will be familiar with the concept of leveling while offline, and that's what the study system in Alganon provides. Players can line skills up in a study queue and whether offline or online, the game will continue and your character will progress.
