ACE Online is a free-to-play MMO space shooter that shares many similarities with Space Cowboy. ACE Online promises to provide action-based dog-fighting simulated combat in a futuristic world that offers a massive variety of character customization options, intense skill-based combat and a gloriously rendered 3D atmosphere.

Players can pilot their own ships, known as Gears, throughout the reaches of deep space. In true MMO fashion players are able to participate in a huge variety of quests, engaging in aerial combat against a variety of NPC units. Unlike traditional MMO titles that rely on point and click or mouse controlled movement, ACE Online utilizes full control over every action a players Gear makes. Players earn experience points from completing quests and defeating enemy units, increasing their level and providing upgrade points. Upgrade points can be used to purchase a huge variety of skills for each available Gear, giving players complete control over the progression path they choose to take.

One of the games most impressive features is the scale of the game itself. Players can view the Solar Map on the official website and read detailed information on every zone in the game. There are over 50 planets for players to explore, each proving more deadly than the last. Following typical MMORPG progression players can access new planets as they increase in level and become more powerful.

Players can expect a huge variety of community events including worldwide tournaments, battles against GM's and more prizes than you can fire your laser at. ACE Online recently applied to become a part of Valve's Greenlight program on Steam, giving players the chance to vote for the game to appear on one of the largest digital distribution systems available on the internet.
