Players must choose to play as 2 different factions in every match, either the Justice Hand or Fallen Angel. The Justice Force was founded in the 1970s and composed of former members of elite armed forces from across the globe. The Fallen Angels are a mix of violent individuals from a variety of countries from around the globe. They will fight, and kill, to achieve what they desire, without guilt or remorse.

Absolute Force Online boasts a massive 100 ranks that players can achieve. Players earn experience points through playing matches and performing various feats, such as defeating enemy players or completing a map-based objective. Each rank requires more experience points to unlock, giving players a feeling of accomplishment as they progress through the game. Each rank is also given a unique emblem and logo within the game, allowing players to show off their skills to the opponents inside the match lobby before the game.

Arguably the most exciting aspect of Absolute Force Online is the amount of weapons featured in the game. There are literally dozens to choose from, each belonging to a specific category.
