SMITE God: Ne Zha Ability Guide
Ne Zha The Third Lotus Prince is one of the most versatile God’s in Smite. This Fight Like A Man Ne Zha Build Guide will teach you everything you need to know to about Ne Zha’s abilities. We’ll tell you what each ability does, how you can use each ability to its maximum potential.
Ability Leveling Priority
Child of The Lotus
Ne Zha’s passive ability only takes effect upon his death. It creates a small circle of a similar size to the Ra healing circle. Any allies standing within that circle are then healed 10% of Ne Zha’s HP every tick; there’s also a small increase to physical protection. Seeing as people don’t really stack HP items on Ne Zha it’s never wise to intentionally die to use this ability, but if you get low on health try to remain as close to your team as possible and refrain from using Armillary Sash or Wind Fire Wheels.
Universe Ring Toss
Universe Ring Toss is one of Ne Zha’s most potent abilities for early game combat. Using this ability launches a small projectile that can bounce between 3 and 7 times depending on the level of the ability. It bounces off anything other than structures and the Minotaur, so using it against Minions, Jungle Camps and enemy God’s; they’re all viable. It’s great to use to initiate Jungle Camp fights because of the debuff but it’s also a very potent poke ability in-lane. You want to use it when there are very few enemy minions left. Every bounce will activate if you attack an enemy. Even if there’s 1 minion and 3 enemy God’s, there’s a good chance the God’s will take 2-3 hits each. The range is also quite extensive, roughly the length of a tower range, meaning it can be used on a front-line minion and still reach God’s hiding at the back.
It’s also great to use as an escape. If you find yourself in a bad situation toss the Universe Ring and the speed buff is usually enough to escape. This is especially true after using Wind Fire Wheels as it can leave you exposed if your team has retreated. Even retreating from a single God, use it on nearby minions, enemies or Jungle camps, it can quite often save your life.
Flaming Spear
This is a pretty self explanatory ability as it buffs Ne Zha with increased attack speed and critical hit chance. Using it just with Armillary Slash can be a great way to deliver a quick burst of damage. Although, Flaming Spear is also a highly potent back-door skill as it allows Ne Zha to take down turrets extremely quickly, even solo towards end-game.
Armillary Sash
Armillary Sash is a long-range single target ability that allows Ne Zha to briefly stun an enemy before flying at them. It deals a moderate amount of damage and causes an AoE damage attack on impact. The basic implications for Armillary Sash are pretty simple. Use it to initiate fights against enemy God’s, or you can also use it to escape if you find yourself surrounded but a single enemy is out of the danger zone. It can also be a great way to ensure you hit Universe Ring Toss.
Save all your ability cooldowns. Activate Armillary Sash, use Universe Ring Toss and then Flaming Spear before unleashing basic attacks. This ensures maximum damage with Universe Ring Toss (assuming there’s not many minions), slows the enemy for maximum effect of Flaming Spear and debuffs them for your basic attacks.
Wind Fire Wheels
Wind Fire Wheels may just appear to be a straight forward damaging ability but it has far more uses than that. Wind Fire Wheels allows Ne Zha to launch an enemy God into the air for 3 seconds, with each second offering the opportunity for a critical hit if timed correctly. The target also suffers a lot of damage once hitting the ground and Ne Zha returns to the original position. This makes Wind Fire Wheels a perfect ability to snatch a low health God from under a tower or from within a group of enemies, without placing yourself in too much danger.
Ne Zha’s ultimate ability should not always be reserved for getting that final blow. It’s fast activation and moderate distance can also be used as an escape from a fight, or even avoiding ultimates from God’s like Hade’s and Ares. Another possible application for Wind Fire Wheels is using it to remove an enemy from a fast-paced fight. This can be especially useful when one member on the enemy team is much more farmed than his allies. 3 seconds may not seem a lot but removing a powerful enemy at a key moment can be a great asset to your team.
