Wargaming.net announced over the weekend its desire to push the World of Tanks eSports community even further with a huge investment of $10 million. Although some of the funds will be divided among other Wargaming titles, World of Tanks will be at the forefront of their efforts to further penetrate the competitive community.
It's a large increase over the previous years investment of $8 million and the news is sure to be well received by the constantly growing competitive corner of the WoT community.
"With our eSports team we founded a company within the company," he said. "They take care not only about game features to cater to spectators, but also about the physical organization of the tournaments. "In the beginning, it was not so much us who wanted to introduce World of Tanks to eSports, it was the players themselves who wanted to be more competitive."
