The War Z Introduces Controversial On-Screen Player Markers
The developers of The War Z have just released a controversial patch that has sparked heated debated amongst the player base. One of the main features of the update is the new clan system, an in-game feature that allows players to group up to hunt down other players and zombies. One of the major surprises of this feature is that it's costing to cost GC, the premium currency in the free to play zombie survival MMO. Another aspect of the update includes player markers that will be displayed above the heads of fellow clan mates. Many fans of the zombie MMO genre, including The War Z and DayZ, have argued that on-screen markers destroy the immersion and realism in the game, while others are saying it's a necessary feature to promote group play. What are your thoughts? Will this damage the enjoyment of The War Z or will you enjoy playing alongside your friends?Leave a comment
