The Secret World Beta Event Announced
After a highly successful first beta weekend for The Secret World, Funcom have announced the next event later in the month. The Secret World beta will start this weekend, from Monday 18th until Sunday 20th. It’s not open to all players, and like the previous beta weekend, players who have pre-purchased the game will be able to play.
The announcement comes at the same time that Bioware announced their latest free weekend for Star Wars: The Old Republic. The clash is unlikely to have any serious effect on the numbers playing Star Wars: The Old Republic but a number of rumors have begun circulating that this is a preemptive strike from Funcom to negate the hype surrounding Star Wars: The Old Republic.
