A new post on Perfect World Entertainments MMO hub service, Arc, today highlighted some saddening news, the free online action MMO Rusty Hearts will soon be closing its doors.
The game is still available for all current players, but the developers have removed the opportunity to download or create new accounts. Rusty Hearts will officially close its doors to all current and past players on September 15th, bringing a sad end to almost 3 years of service on both PWE's Arc platform and Valve's Steam.
We would like to thank all the fans who helped bring life to all the characters in Rusty Hearts. Your loyalty, dedication, and countless hours crawling through dungeons is what made it all possible. Perfecting combos, endless Christmas in Bramunez, and the constant beatdowns -- all just to climb the ladder to greatness -- these built a lifetime of memories. Rusty Hearts was a unique experience and will be cherished forever.
Perfect World Entertainment has reassured Rusty Hearts players that any recent purchases of the in-game premium currency will be refunded and made available to spend in other titles from PWE.
