Runescape Celebrating 10 Great Years
Runescape is arguably one of the most successful browser-based MMORPG’s ever released, now in its 10th year, it has seen the huge transition from 2D to 3D, thousands of updates and a community that continues to grow.
The game is often compared to WoW, with most saying it’s a browser copy of the popular Blizzard title, even though it was actually released before. The game has received numerous awards over the years and even holds a special place in the Guinness Book of World Records. There’s been no shortage of in-game events to celebrate the 10 year anniversary and Jagex are promising a very exciting year in 2012.
They have mentioned new skills, quests and tons of new pieces of equipment as well as the return of the popular exp weekends. Still offering one of the best browser-based experiences on the market, we’re sure Runescape will continue to dominate the genre in 2012.
