Avatar Creations today made a surprising announcement that will see the sci-fi MMORPG Perpetuum removing the current pay-to-play model in exchange for the more popular one-time purchase option.
The official Perpetuum has been updated to include additional details on the announcement. Starting next month the subscription model will be completely removed and a one-time purchase priced at $29.99 (Currently valued at 3 months subscription time) will take its place. Optional microtransactions will also feature once the change is made.
In anticipation of the influx of new players, we will suspend our 15-day trial and free reactivation options on the same day. The payment model change combined with our Steam launch is a disproportionately large step for us compared to our recent years, and we want to make sure that we can provide the highest possible quality of service for the players who purchase the game.
