Pantheon: Rise Of The Fallen Falls At Last Kickstarter Hurdle
Brad McQuaid teased his secret MMO ideas around Twitter before finally revealing Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen but despite the enthusiasm of the Twitter community the high-fantasy MMORPG game has failed to meet fundraising expectations. The game originally asked for $800,000 worth of support from the gaming community but by the halfway mark it had struggled to break $350,000. In its final hours yesterday Brad McQuaid took to the Kickstarter page in the hopes of attracting more support by removing all quantity restrictions from the various supporter packages.“For the final day of the Kickstarter, we have removed all caps to pretty much every tier. And, if we reach our $800k goal, we’ll offer FREE FULL ACCESS to the Post-Kickstarter development site for all Kickstarter Pledgers for three months!”Sadly however the effort didn't pay off. As of yesterday the Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen Kickstarter has ended and it fell short of the $800,000 goal, only managing to attract $460,000. However, not all is lost. As the Kickstarter closed the development team announced the opening of the games official website and with it, a whole new fundraising campaign. Fans can now pledge their support via PayPal on the official website. Previous backers are reminded that failed Kickstarter campaigns will NOT be charged to your account.
