New Rust Anti-Cheat Proves Effective
Garry Newman and FacePunch Studios have hardly finished celebrating the 1 millionth sale of their survival MMO Rust and they're already hard at work solving one of the games bigger problems, hackers. Any Rust player that has frequented the official servers is no doubt aware of the hacking problem with many aimbots and ESP hacks running rampant but the developers are not blind to this problem. In a new post on the official website Newman explains the last anti-cheat measures put into place with the release of CheatPunch on the official servers. A custom made hacking solution that has already seen over 4,600 players banned but is currently only forced on official servers. Server owners are able to implement the system on their own servers but it will not be forced onto all servers until the developers have fine tuned and tested the system further. For more information on implementing the feature on your own server, visit the official website.Leave a comment
