More Sand In The Massive Xyson Sandbox MMORPG
Notorious Games have just released information on the latest update for the sandbox MMORPG, Xyson. Xyson has never really got the attention, or credit, that it deserves. An immensely in-depth open ended sandbox title that boasts features that make competitors look like they’re still in the alpha phase. The game is home to a variety of innovative features such as the ability to reform land and create entire villages with your tribe, the option to create and share your very own quests and a unique progression system that provides both depth and variety. Some of the major changes of this latest update have been outlined below:
Player Driven Quest System Revised
Allows players to create their own in-game quests, and reward other players for completing them. Both the creator and completer receive experience in the completion of a Quest.New Skill System
Skills re-worked to provide a balanced use of player stats.Skill Balances & Tweaks
Skill system revisions with a soft cap, skill balancing and skill lock system for flexible character control.Revamped Stat System
Increased stat gains based on actions. Players can also readjust stats a limited number of times.Health System Update
Health points re-worked to be based on stats and skills instead of gain over time.Additional Experience Gain
Experience gains per action and from quests allow player to gain skills without grinding.Revamped User-Interface
Many UI revisions including improvements to chat and in game lists.Crafting & Materials Enhancements
Material improvements including increased bonuses on resources gathered from aged and legendary creatures.
A unique design feature for Xyson creates an evolving world that changes with the player-base. The actions of individual players play a huge role in determining the future of the game world, making it one of the most community driven titles available online.
The sandbox genre has yet to make a huge splash in the MMORPG world, with titles such as Darkfall Online and Mortal Online falling way short of expectations. Xyson never had the funding or advertising campaign to rival those two games, yet it still manages to compete with both in terms of content and features, which is mainly down to the determination of the development team and player base. This latest update adds even more content to an already impressive list of features, making Xyson a must-try title for any fans of the sandbox genre.
