ALLM today confirmed the January 1st closure for the struggling free-to-play action MMORPG title, Lunia. On November 7th one of the developers created a Facebook post that warned players of the upcoming closure, stating lack of funding and staff as the main cause. ALLM did launch a donation campaign hoping to help cover some of the $20,000 monthly costs to host and maintain the Lunia servers, but sadly they were only able to attract 1% of that amount.
As the donation campaign failed ALLM had very little choice to stick with their original announcement, today confirming the closure of Lunia servers tomorrow, January 1st.
