The EVE Online community were busy celebrating the reveal of the exciting changes coming this year before a group of idiots decided to vandalize the recently erected EVE Online monument in Iceland. Last week the monument was revealed to mark the incredible feats and levels of dedication displayed by the community but just a few days later it emerged that a group of EVE Online players had defaced the monument, specifically targeting one single players name.
Thanks to the EVE Online community and the Alliance in which the vandals belonged, they have since been discovered and a recent post on the official forums explained the severity of the bans. CCP Falcon created a post explaining the zero-tolerance approach to harassment and victimization in EVE Online before announcing that 7 EVE Online accounts had been banned permanently while another individual that was indirectly involved receiving a 6 month ban.
Far less than what they deserved if you ask me.
