Hearthstone Community Outraged At Blizzard’s Failure To Punish Botters
Blizzard have a virtual riot on their hands today as the developers announced a wave of bans aimed at accounts that have been found to be abusing third-party programs, but the Hearthstone community is not happy with the punishment. The plague of botting and abusing third-party software is not something unique to to Hearthstone. It's plagued the industry for decades, as such players have come to expect a certain level of punishment - a level that has not been met. Community Manager, Zeriyah, posted on the website detailing the bans before responding to forum posts from the community. All of the accounts banned in this first wave can expect to get their accounts returned in full in 2015, including all of the gold and cards they obtained through the bot related activities. Questions followed but the response remained the same. These punishments are solely for this wave. Accounts banned at later dates will receive full permanent bans without any possibility of return.
