H1Z1 Servers Suffer On Launch Day
Sony Online Entertainment's highly anticipated zombie survival MMO, H1Z1, launched earlier this week to a mixed reception thanks to poor server stability and bad PR choices by the developers. The servers were meant to launch on Steam at the end of the countdown but this was extended on several occasions until the game finally launched almost 10 hours after it was expected. When it was finally available the community learned of changed mechanics, mechanics that pushed the game towards the pay-to-win scale. Premium airdrops that drop crates onto the map were discovered to include weapons and other valuable equipment, despite SOE previously stating that would not be the case. The game has improved slightly in recent days and SOE have said they will address issues with the airdrops.Leave a comment
