Face of Mankind is Back!
After a long pause, Face of Mankind is back. The new client comes with improvements to faction systems, penalty systems, territory control, and other features that will be tested during the current open beta phase.
Berlin, Germany – December 5, 2009 – The time has come. Face of Mankind is finally being released in its Open Beta phase, and we warmly invite you to join us today! The official opening date is 5th December, 2009. The game may not yet be perfectly balanced, nor with all the features our Closed Beta testers would have liked to see, but we will perhaps never reach a state of perfection without widespread testing with an unrestricted playerbase that we hope you, as a valued Open Beta Tester can be part of. As such, this release of Face of Mankind’s Open Beta is simply a matter of necessity for us to reach newer and greater heights.
There will be a wipe of most things from this final phase of Closed Beta, but we have decided to keep the faction leader structures in place to facilitate a smoother transition, and to ensure that players, both new and old, will have some semblance of organization to get them settled into the world of Face of Mankind.
We are also including a comprehensive tutorial in the latest installer package for your perusal. Face of Mankind has gone through many transformational changes in myriad aspects of the game, ranging from combat, to the final battle mechanics, and various new features, just to name a few.
Since this is sandbox mmorpg i highly recommend you to watch the tutorial videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/DuplexSystems#grid/user/4A908D6C0B0726DD

I have been playing this game for about a week now. It has the potential it be very engaging as a FPS but major ganking occurs everywhere and for those people that are trying to finish objectives the game is put on hold for what could be hours or even days while wars are going on. The last two days have just been a series of people arguing with the faction leaders and threats being tossed around. You might have to play the politics in order to get promoted as these factions leaders are the ones with all the power to do so no matter how high you level. Conform or be cast out in this game folks.
major ganks will occur in any PVP game, you just have to be in a good team to repel the enemy, or learn to know when to run and when to attack:)
