Elder Scrolls MMO To Use Star Wars: The Old Republic Game Engine
A recent announcement confirming the development and release of The Elder Scrolls Online created a huge stir in the online MMORPG community and this latest announcement is sure to get people talking again. Zenimax Studios recently released a statement providing players with details on the HeroEngine, the engine that will be used to develop The Elder Scrolls Online and it’s also the same game engine to power the recently released Star Wars: The Old Republic
A large number of people immediately expressed their concerns on Twitter complaining that Star Wars: The Old Republic has already failed in many aspects and is nothing like what they want an Elder Scrolls MMORPG game to be like but Matt Firor shot down the comments saying that an engine isn’t as important as everyone thinks it is. Surely it’s got a large say in the game itself but features and technology can be added and improved to ensure it provides players with an experience close to that of the hugely popular Elder Scrolls games.
