The hugely popular cartoon themed MMOTPS, Battlefield Heroes, is rapidly approaching its third anniversary and EA have announced an array of exciting updates planned for the celebrations. Over 12 million players have registered for the game since its release, and all will be excited to hear about some of the features coming to Battlefield Heroes over the next few weeks.

Firstly, there’s a brand new map in the form of Fortress Frenzy. This new map features several small islands connected by a large number of bridges, vehicles will be included and players can expect just as much explosively hilarious fun as previous maps. The mission system will also be receiving some attention, giving players the opportunity to earn increased amounts of Valor and Experience Points, as well as the new Treasure Chest system that offers random rewards after killing an enemy soldier.

Finally, players that log in between now and July 1st will be given two Party Packs. Each pack will include an exclusive Battlefield Heroes Birthday Shirt, a new 3-day emote and a Treasure Chest Key. Even if you’re not the biggest MMOTPS fan, there’s never been a better time to join in and play on Battlefield Heroes.
