Dragon Quest X On The Road To Success
Alongside the Final Fantasy games, Dragon Quest is one of Square Enix's longest running and most loved RPG franchises. The latest addition, Dragon Quest X, is an MMORPG currently exclusive to the Nintendo Wii in Japan. Square Enix Chief, Yoichi Wada recently released a statement that included information on the current subscriber count. Dragon Quest X has accumulated over 400,000 subscribers, and according to Yoichi Wada, the game has already created enough profit to cover development costs. Some critics have already declared Dragon Quest X as a failure after only selling 600,000 copies but SE's first MMORPG, Final Fantasy XI only shipped 120,000 copies and is considered a huge success in today's industry. Players can expect Dragon Quest X to reach US and European shores sometime in 2013.Leave a comment
