Blizzard Dish Out Another Wave Of Bans For World Of Warcraft Botters
Hundreds of disgruntled bot users got some bad news today as award-winning developers Blizzard announced a new wave of ban hammer action following the huge round of bans back in May of this year. World of Warcraft is at least a little cleaner today as the team announced via the official forums that a new waves of bans had been issued, focusing on players that use bots or other third-part programs to automate certain elements of gameplay. HonorBuddy forums, a forums for one of the leading developers of botting software for World of Warcraft, exploded after today's announcement as players reported receiving huge bans of up to 18 months. One individual reported a 6 month ban after using software to increase a characters level to 100 through automated means while another said they received a huge 18 month ban on an account that they used third-party programs to level 10 characters up to level 100.
