ArcheAge APEX Dupe Rumors Quashed
Trion Worlds CEO, Scott Hartsman, issued a statement today in an attempt to quash the rumors reporting possible exploit and duplication bugs surrounding ArcheAge's premium in-game currency, APEX. It's certainly not the first problem Trion Worlds have faced since launching ArcheAge, but it may be one of the easiest to solve. Several players reported a possible bug that would allow people to duplicate APEX but after further investigation the developers can say with some level of certainty that there is no duping explore - but there is a problem."There isn't a dupe bug. There were some instances where APEX could be used to yield more credits than one was supposed to get. Our investigation showed that this affected a relatively small number of people. We've temporarily paused their accounts and we're doing a targeted cleanup on them right now, then releasing them. People who were found to have intentionally abused it appear to be around a dozen globally, and they'll see more serious actions taken against their account."Probably good news really. I'm not sure how much more bad news ArcheAge players can take.
