Based on the popular Warcraft Universe, World of Warcraft is widely considered to be one of the most popular pay to play MMORPG's available on the PC. The game focuses on the eternal struggle between the forces of the Alliance and Horde, both of which are playable and have access to specific races and classes. Each side has 6 races available to choose from, each of which can choose from 1 of 10 unique classes. Each class has their own combat mechanics, abilities and perks.

The crafting system in WoW is quite in-depth, offering a total of 11 different Professions, with players being able to choose up to 2 Professions to focus on. Each Profession is either a harvesting or production craft, allowing players to be self sufficient in crafting gathering the materials they need for the Professions they've chosen. As well as Professions, there are 4 Secondary options available, which players can choose to use whenever they wish. The Secondary options are Archaeology, Cooking, First-Aid and Fishing.

World of Warcraft boasts some of the most expansive end-game content in the MMORPG market, offering players a large number of dungeons and raids as well as many PvP options. Dungeons are available at most levels and a recent update allows players to group up with players from other servers, reducing wait time and allowing players to get through dungeons much faster. PvP action comes in the form of Battlegrounds and Arena, Battlegrounds has a heavy focus on wide-scale PvP with objective based mechanics like capture the flag while Arena offers players a more tactical, smaller method of PvP featuring 2v2, 3v3 or 5v5.

Recently the game expanded into the free to play market allowing players to experience full game content up to level 20, although this does seem a little restrictive there's still plenty of activities and dungeons to explore and there's always new content being released.
