Participate in real-time racing events against players from across the globe using a variety of high-class sports vehicles and customized cars.

Need for Speed World uses the same vehicle classification system that has been made famous by the console titles. There are a total of 6 different classes of vehicles, E, D, C, B, A and S. S is the highest class of vehicle and contains the fastest and most powerful cars in the game. Although each car is given a class at the base stock level, players can increase the power of the car in a variety of ways. Players are able to find tune various parts of each car such as the Engine, Forced induction, Transmission, Suspensions, Brakes and Tires. Each tiny change to any of these systems can have a drastic impact on various stats of the car including Top Speed, Acceleration and Handling. Tweaking these systems in the correct way can even change your class to the next class.

To upgrade the various aspects of your car you will need to find or purchase a number of performance parts. Basic parts can be purchased in the Safehouse screen using in-game currency. There are different levels of performance parts, each of which effect your car in different ways, with the more powerful performance parts being more expensive. The rarer and more powerful performance items can only be won via the Lucky Draw. These are special rewards that appear randomly during multiplayer races, so you'll want to make sure you participate in multiplayer as much as possible.
