Miner Wars is the MMORPG adaption of the recently released Miner Wars 2081. The game takes place in a similar setting to Miner Wars 2081, the Earth has been destroyed so the remainder of a post-apocalyptic inner Solar System battles it out for survival. All vital resources are stretched, forcing people to kill one another over basic commodities such as food and fuel.

The MMO version will include totally destructive environments, unlike anything you've ever seen in an MMO title before. The game utilizes the VRAGE engine that allows players to destroy everything from asteroids to moon-bases. As well as being used to destroy your opponents camping spot or cover, you can also use it as a tactical advantage. If you want to build your base inside a giant asteroid, you can dig your way through blowing it up piece by piece, until you're deep enough to be practically invisible to the outside. You can then construct your base making it almost impossible for anyone to find you.

There will be a number of ship types available, each built for a specific purpose with their own strengths and weaknesses. Players will be able to choose a ship to use whenever they return to dock. Each ship can also be upgraded using a number of unique components that can improve your armor rating, storage capacity, engine speed and fuel usage, as well as more technical aspects such as radar quality and mining tools.

Players will be able to take part in battles of epic proportions, featuring up to 300 individual players, all consisting of their own unique ship with their custom chosen load-out and equipped components. With the amount of ships and components available, there is almost a limitless amount of ships that can be created, resulting in intense PvP that plays differently every time.
