Guild Wars 2 is the latest premium MMORPG developed and published by ArenaNet. The game is a sequel to the popular original Guild Wars title but shares very few similarities. Players get to choose from 5 distinct races, all of which have access to 8 unique classes. The available classes are listed below.

One of the most discussed features of Guild Wars 2 is the advanced combat mechanics. Players are able to combine different abilities from different professions and unlike other games, they actually have an effect on each other. An Elementalist can cast a defensive wall of fire, and turn it offensive by firing a Rangers volley of arrows through the wall of fire, raining down dozens of burning arrows onto their enemies. Players can also utilize their environment in combat. A harmless looking tree or well placed boulder can be turned into devastating meteor storms or tornado's. The advanced combat is what sets it miles apart from MMO rivals and offering a free to play model makes it even more appealing.
Another exciting aspect of Guild Wars 2 is the Dynamic Event system. These Dynamic Events will be placed throughout the game world and will encourage players to quickly group up and perform various tasks. Exploring a field one day you may come across a thriving village full of people and animals, when you return another day you may discover the village has been burned to the ground and is now occupied by blood thirsty bandits. These events have a real time effect on the game world itself, creating a unique immersive experience unlike any other MMORPG.
