Wizardry Online features 5 unique races and 4 powerful classes, giving players the options to combine both to create the perfect hero. In true MMORPG fashion the classes evolve as a player progresses through the game, unlocking more abilities and gaining access to more powerful weaponry.

Without a doubt the most defining feature in Wizardry Online is the unique mechanics that surround a players death. When a player dies their physical body remains in the same location. If you're of a low level or Soul Rank, you have a 100% chance to be revived successfully, creating a friendly entry level for new players. However, once you pass level 1 or Soul Rank 1, more factors become involved that could eventually lead to a player losing their character permanently.

Located in various dungeons and dangerous areas in Wizardry Online, Guardian Statue's are a players light at the end of the tunnel. Although they can only be activated while alive, an activated Guardian Statue will allow a dead players soul to revive and return to its physical body. Upon reaching an activated Guardian Statue players will be shown their chances of revival, with a large number of factors being included. Sacrificing certain items can vastly improve a players chances of revival, making it vital to carry around sacrificial items. However, other threats are always present. Other players can attack you anywhere in the game world and should your soul meet a Walker while dead, you'll be returned to your body with the life clock continue to countdown.
