Super Monday Night Combat is a free to play MMOTPS (Third person shooter) that occupies a unique space within the genre thanks to a combination of features from various MMO games such as RPG style character progression, skill based shooting and MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) mechanics. As well as the combination of unique genre mechanics, Super Monday Night Combat features a comedic approach to art and play style that will have you laughing every step of the way.

Players can select their class from 5 available options including Commandos, Strikers, Enforcers, Defenders and Snipers. Each class has a different role and responsibility on the battle field, but teams will need to ensure they have a balanced mix if they hope to emerge victorious at the end of the match.

Similar to MOBA titles, Super Monday Night Combat is a lobby based MMO game that consists of 2 teams. Each team much destroy the enemies Moneyball in order to win the game. There are waves of NPC characters, known as Creeps, that come out at set intervals. Players must accompany these Creeps and take down various enemy defenses such as turrets and other players, before finally being able to attempt to take down the Moneyball. There are also a host of other features as players earn experience points during each match. The experience points can be spent on either improving one of your 3 class specific skills, or your attacking and defensive stats. This unique progression system adds a huge variety in the game, as some players prefer powerful skills while others focus on improving their stats.

As well as an abundant amount of unique mechanics, the setting behind Super Monday Night Combat is also a fresh approach to the MMOTPS genre. It takes place in a futuristic reality show on television, as such it's accompanied by over the top commentators and crowd noises.
