In true RTS fashion Siege Online allows players to build and develop their own castle area. There are over 100 unique buildings that can be constructed with a large majority being eligible for upgrades. These upgrades increase the abilities of each structure, such as allowing for the gathering of more resources or training stronger troops and siege equipment.

Siege Online is supported by a complex economy that includes the ability to gather resources via mining, hunting and herb gathering alongside a highly detailed crafting system that creates an economic feature closely linked to the real-world.
